How do I complete the Identity Verification Check?

In order to use any feature of the app, you will need to go through the process of verifying your identity. As part of our commitment to security, the process must be done within the app as we don't accept emailed copies of your identification. All information you provide is encrypted and secured through our identity verification provider.

To verify your identity: 

  1. Go to your Venga app Home Page and click on  your profile icon on the top right of the screen.
  2. You will see a section called "Documents", click on it and you will start the verification process by being redirected to the following page:

     

Follow the steps and you will be able to verify your account. 

After completing all the steps you will see a screen where you will have more information about the process. It can be one of the following reasons:  

- A confirmation screen saying that we are verifying your information and that you will be notified when the process is complete. 

- A screen saying that we need additional documentation. If that is the case please follow the instructions provided.

- Identity check failed: The screen will provide additional information on why the identity check failed. Follow the instructions to resubmit your information. 

- A screen saying that we are unable to offer a Venga account at this time.

Additional Information

The process normally takes around 2 minutes and there are 5 steps that you will need follow: 

  • Fill out your profile details with personal information (name, date of birth, nationality,etc.) 
  • Submit a Government-issued photo ID (e.g., passport or National Id) that is unexpired.
  • Submit proof of address document (not older than 3 months and no screenshots allowed) 
  • Take a selfie video
  •  Completing a small form with information about your employment status and source of funds.
