A swap (an Execution of Orders – Swap Operation) lets you purchase one crypto asset using another — for example, using BTC to purchase ETH — without selling back to fiduciary currency first. Here's how it works.
What is a swap?
An Execution of Orders – Swap Operation is any operation used to purchase a crypto asset using another crypto asset, in a single step. When you swap, Venga executes the order on your behalf at the price shown, locked in for a short window so you know exactly what you'll receive before you confirm.
How do I swap crypto?
- Open the Swap tab from the bottom navigation, or tap Swap on the Home screen. You can also start from your Wallet: select a crypto asset and tap Swap.
- Choose the crypto asset you want to swap from (e.g., BTC).
- Choose the crypto asset you want to receive (e.g., ETH).
- Enter the amount.
- Review the price and fee on the confirmation screen.
- Tap Confirm Swap.
You'll see a confirmation once the swap is complete. Swaps are usually instant.
How much does a swap cost?
The fee for Execution of Orders – Swap Operations is 0.8% per operation. The fee is always shown before you confirm, so there are no surprises.
Good to know
- Prices move in real time. The price shown is what you'll receive, locked in for a short window when you confirm.
- Available pairs depend on your verification and location. The crypto assets you can swap may vary based on where you are and your identity verification status.
- A swap is crypto asset-to-crypto asset. To move between fiduciary currency and crypto assets, use Buy or Sell instead.
