What is Web3?

Web3 is the next generation of the internet, built on blockchain technology. It aims to give users more ownership and control over their data and digital assets.

Web1, Web2, Web3 — What's the Difference?

  • Web1 (1990s–2000s): Read-only websites. You could browse but not interact much.
  • Web2 (2000s–today): Interactive platforms (Facebook, Google). You create content but companies own your data.
  • Web3 (emerging): Decentralized applications where you own your assets and data.
