Venga already holds a MiCA license. Our license details are still awaiting publication in the regulator’s public register, which Google needs to complete its verification before listing Venga on Google Play.
Each app store follows its own verification process. Venga is already available for iPhone on the Apple App Store, where an official letter from the regulator served as proof of our license.
In the meantime, you can install and update the official Venga Android app directly from our website. Below, we explain how.
If you see a banner in the app asking you to update, it means a newer version is available and you're not on it yet.
Why isn't the app on Google Play?
It's a paperwork hold-up.
Google applies extra verification to crypto and financial apps before they can be listed, and our submission is still working its way through that process. It's a question of processing times, the Venga app is fully compliant and will be available in the Google play store soon.
Part of Google's verification relies on our licence details appearing on the regulator's public register. That step is in the regulator's hands and is being processed.
Until then, the APK on venga.com/en/download-app is the official Venga Android app.
Why should I update to the newest version?
Each new version brings one or several of the changes:
- Security and stability improvements
- Fixes for bugs reported by users
- New features and product updates
- Compatibility with the latest changes on our side
Older versions can stop working correctly over time, so we strongly recommend updating as soon as you see the banner.
Is it safe to install the app from an APK file?
Yes - installing an app from an APK can be safe when you use a trusted source. For Venga, download it directly from our official website.
An APK is Android’s standard installation file. The file on our website is the official Venga app, signed by us. Avoid downloading Venga APKs from third-party websites or installing files shared by other people.

An APK is simply the standard installation file format for Android apps. The file on our website is the same app, signed by us, just delivered directly instead of through a store.
How do I update to the latest version?
- Open venga.com/en/download-app on your Android device
- Tap the Download APK button
- Accept the browser prompt to download the file
- Open the file from your notifications or your Downloads folder
- Tap Install and wait for it to finish
- Open the Venga app

Will I lose my account, my funds or my data when I update?
No. Your balances, transaction history and verification status are held securely on your Venga account, not on your phone, so nothing is lost by updating. The new version installs over your current app and your account stays exactly as it is.
You may be asked to log in again after updating. That's normal. Just sign in with your usual credentials.
You do not need to uninstall the app first, and you do not need to repeat identity verification (KYC).
How do I know which version I'm on?
The simplest way is the banner itself: if it appears when you open the app, you're not on the latest version yet.
You can also see your current version in the app under Settings, at the bottom of the screen.
Will I have to keep updating manually?
For now, yes. Because the app isn't distributed through Google Play, updates don't install automatically. We'll show you a banner in the app whenever a new version is available.
Once Venga is on Google Play, you'll be able to install and update the app from there like any other app, and we'll let you know when that happens.
