Trade-only assets are crypto assets you can buy, sell and swap inside Venga, but you can't deposit them, withdraw them or use them in Earn. Your balance stays in your Venga account, and you move value out by selling to EUR or swapping to another crypto.

Because trade-only assets can't be deposited or withdrawn, they don't have a deposit address.
Which assets are trade-only?
The list changes over time and availability depends on where you live. See Which trade-only assets can I buy on Venga? for the current list.
Why do I see empty wallets, and where is my deposit address?
Each trade-only asset has its own wallet in the Venga app, and it shows a zero balance until you buy that asset. These wallets are placeholders. They have no deposit address, so nothing can be sent to them.
Please don't send trade-only assets to Venga from another wallet or exchange. If you already did, contact our support team right away. You can also read What happens if I send funds to my Venga wallet using the wrong token, network, or destination address?
How does buying work, and why is the price only a reference?
You can buy trade-only assets by card or by bank transfer.
If you pay by bank transfer, your order is executed when your EUR arrives, so the price you see in the app before that is a reference, not a guaranteed price. The amount of crypto you receive depends on the price when your order executes.
If you pay by bank transfer and send a different amount than your order, the full amount we receive is used. For example, if you send €107 for a €100 order, you buy €107 worth of the asset.

How do I move my money out of a trade-only asset?
You have two options:
Sell to EUR. The money goes only to a whitelisted bank account. To whitelist one, make a bank-transfer purchase of any token first. A card purchase doesn't whitelist a bank account.
Swap to a standard asset that can be withdrawn, then withdraw that asset.
For the full steps, see How do I move my money out of a trade-only asset?.
Why can't I see trade-only assets in my app?
Check these two things:
Update the app. On iOS, update from the App Store. On Android, see Why isn't Venga on Google Play and how do I update my Android app?
Identity verification. You need to have completed identity verification (KYC).
If you've already updated, trade-only assets are being rolled out gradually and may not be available on your account yet. Once you have access, you'll see a Trade-Only Assets banner in your Wallet.
Who holds trade-only assets?
Your assets are held with a third-party custodian, while Venga maintains the records of your individual holdings.
Can I use Earn with trade-only assets?
Not yet. Earn isn't available for trade-only assets. See What cryptocurrencies can I stake on the Venga App? for what is available today.
What are the risks?
Buying crypto involves risk, including the potential loss of funds. Prices can change quickly, and trade-only assets are no different. Only invest what you can afford to lose.
